How?

Poles

Specially designed for nordic walking, Fittrek poles are made according to biomechanical specifications for greater versatility. They work on all surfaces and are suitable for use with a number of nordic walking techniques.

You can rent poles for a session or purchase them at the Tennis 13 studio.

You can also purchase them online at Costco.ca.
Buy 2 Fittrek Poles and 1 pair of weighted gloves:for $109,99 (+ txs).

Attire

Your attire should be suitable for the weather of the day (classes take place whatever the weather). Layering is the best option, as several layers of synthetic clothing provide better absorptive capacity. You can add or remove layers depending on the temperature and intensity of your workout.

Wear comfortable hiking or running shoes that provide good support.

In the summer, a hat or cap will protect you from the sun.

Make sure you bring enough water for a one-hour walk.

Consider a hydration belt, which will allow you to carry enough water while balancing the weight of the bottles around your body.
